The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced Saturday, September 6, 2008 that FSN WEST and PRIME TICKET collectively received three Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards at the 60th annual presentation at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre. Overall, the sister networks received 15 nominations in 2007.
In 11 years of Academy recognition, FSN WEST and PRIME TICKET have been honored collectively with 121 total nominations and 42 wins.
“As the leader in sports television in Southern California, we strive for excellence on our air every day, with every game telecast, original program and promo,” said Steve Simpson, senior vice president and general manager of FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET. “This recognition belongs equally to our team partners: their insight and access is essential to the creative team making ideas come to life.”
A total of three L.A. Area Emmys were awarded to FSN WEST and PRIME TICKET for outstanding work in the following categories: Sports Series, Sports Tease and Short Promo. Specifically, “Before the Bigs”, courtesy of the FSN WEST/PRIME TICKET Sports Team, won for best Sports Series; “Anaheim Ducks 2007 Home Opener Tease ‘Shift Happens’”, courtesy of the FSN WEST/PRIME TICKET Sports Team, won for best Sports Tease; and “Building Legends”, courtesy of the FSN WEST/PRIME TICKET Sports Team, won for best Short Promo.
