2008-09 marks the 23rd season for WEST as a telecast partner to the Lakers. The telecast schedule is made of two pre-season contests and 33 regular-season games. Tune-in on Saturday, October 18, at 7:30 PM on WEST for live coverage of the Lakers vs. FC Barcelona pre-season match up. A half-hour "Lakers Season Pre-season Special" follows the game, at approximately 10 PM.
All season long, “Lakers Live” will air from Star Plaza outside the STAPLES Center. "Lakers Live" pre- and post-game shows are hosted by Bill Macdonald with expert analysis from Norm Nixon. Rick Fox joins for select shows. The half-hour show - with the exception of Sunday pre-game editions, which will be a full hour - provides team access, analysis and player/coach interviews.
