CLIENT VALUE, ONE DELICIOUS BITE AT A TIME


The crowds at "Lexus Gauntlet Live" grow larger each week! Last Monday, Jack in the Box entered the fray, showering fans and bystanders with free samples of of...wait for it...cheesecake and chocolate overload cake. PRIME TICKET's roving live entertainment venue provided Jack-in-the-Box with an appropriate platform to market its new line of desserts to a demographic always in the mood for a sugar rush.

Tonight, "Gauntlet Live" heads to Westwood. UCLA Football Head Coach Rick Neuheisel is scheduled to make an appearance. Wonder if he'll bring cookies?

FIRST 2008-09 FARMERS STUDENT ATHLETE CITIZEN NAMED TONIGHT

The first Farmers Student Athlete Citizen of the 2008-09 academic year will be named tonight on FSN PRIME TICKET. The award presentation will be held during halftime of the Birmingham-Crespi game. Coverage begins with "High School Spotlight" at 7 PM; kick-off is at 7:30 PM.

For 30 weeks during the 2008-09 school year, Farmers and PRIME TICKET present a local high school athlete with the Student Athlete Citizen Award on “High School Spotlight.” The recognition includes an announcement on air, a commemorative plaque for the student and, a duplicate for display in the school trophy case.

Nearly 700 local schools are eligible for participation in the Farmers Student Athlete Citizen Award program. PRIME TICKET invites athletic directors and coaches within CIF Southern Section –comprised of 570 member schools in Southern California – and the CIF-LA City Section – which represents 101 member schools – to submit candidates for consideration on a weekly basis.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Southern California high school to be considered for the Farmers Student Athlete Citizen Award. Recipients embody outstanding achievements in academics, extracurriculars and are actively involved in their community.

35 LAKERS GAMES IN HD ON FOX SPORTS WEST

2008-09 marks the 23rd season for WEST as a telecast partner to the Lakers. The telecast schedule is made of two pre-season contests and 33 regular-season games. All 35 game telecasts are available in HD. For the most up-to-date HD game availability, please visit: www.foxsports.com/west

WEST Lakers game telecasts feature Stu Lantz and Joel Meyers in the booth, with Patrick O’Neal and Michael Eaves on the sidelines. Included in the game coverage is Bill Macdonald's interview with Lakers Head Coach Phil Jackson: "Philosophy 101".

Tune-in on Saturday, October 18, at 7:30 PM on WEST for live coverage of the Lakers vs. FC Barcelona pre-season match up. A half-hour "Lakers Season Pre-season Special" follows the game, at approximately 10 PM.

All season long, “Lakers Live” will air from Star Plaza outside the STAPLES Center. "Lakers Live" pre- and post-game shows are hosted by Bill Macdonald with expert analysis from Norm Nixon. Rick Fox joins for select shows. The half-hour show - with the exception of Sunday pre-game editions, which will be a full hour - provides team access, analysis and player/coach interviews.

Lakers game telecasts on WEST are produced by Mark Shah. Doug Freeman is in the director’s chair.

Kings' 65-Game Regular Season Schedule Begins October 11 on Fox Sports WEST


Fox Sports WEST, the destination for the most comprehensive Los Angeles Kings coverage, provides a 65-game regular season schedule in 2008-09. The pride and passion that is Kings hockey begins on WEST on October 11, at 7 PM, when the Kings host the San Jose Sharks.

THREE MORE FOR THE TROPHY CASE

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced Saturday, September 6, 2008 that FSN WEST and PRIME TICKET collectively received three Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards at the 60th annual presentation at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre. Overall, the sister networks received 15 nominations in 2007.

In 11 years of Academy recognition, FSN WEST and PRIME TICKET have been honored collectively with 121 total nominations and 42 wins.

“As the leader in sports television in Southern California, we strive for excellence on our air every day, with every game telecast, original program and promo,” said Steve Simpson, senior vice president and general manager of FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET. “This recognition belongs equally to our team partners: their insight and access is essential to the creative team making ideas come to life.”

A total of three L.A. Area Emmys were awarded to FSN WEST and PRIME TICKET for outstanding work in the following categories: Sports Series, Sports Tease and Short Promo. Specifically, “Before the Bigs”, courtesy of the FSN WEST/PRIME TICKET Sports Team, won for best Sports Series; “Anaheim Ducks 2007 Home Opener Tease ‘Shift Happens’”, courtesy of the FSN WEST/PRIME TICKET Sports Team, won for best Sports Tease; and “Building Legends”, courtesy of the FSN WEST/PRIME TICKET Sports Team, won for best Short Promo.

“HIGH SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT” KICKS-OFF THE SEASON

A special preseason edition of “High School Spotlight” airs at 10:30 PM TONIGHT, Friday, September 5. In this half-hour show, PRIME TICKET previews CIF-SS matchups and players to watch throughout the 2008 football season.

Coverage of the “Toyota High School Football Game of the Week” starts each week with a half-hour pre-game “High School Spotlight” show. Host Lindsay Soto anchors the program which covers high school athletics in the Valleys, the L.A. Basin, the Inland Empire, and Orange County. Guest analysts and reporters join Soto to help provide insight, game footage and interviews. “High School Spotlight” post-game coverage completes each game telecast.

2008 TOYOTA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED


With both storied match-ups and new communities to showcase, a new season of the “Toyota High School Football Game of the Week” on PRIME TICKET begins on Friday, September 12. Telecast coverage of Birmingham at Crespi begins at 7 PM with the “High School Spotlight” pre-game show; kick-off is at 7:30 PM.

FALL 2008 INTERNSHIP RECRUITING IS UNDERWAY

The internship program at Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET provides college students with hands-on sports television industry experience. Student are assigned to specific departments in 10-week sessions, devoting a minimum of eight hours a week to observing and learning outside of the classroom. The result is a challenging, real-world compliment to their academics studies.

Twenty-six (26) internships are available at the regional sports networks in Los Angeles. A breakdown of the positions is as follows: Production – Event; Production – Front Office; Sports Business Administration; Marketing; Sales; and, Communications.
